I have created a to-do list. Is there any way to set an alarm on my due date field

OR to highlight or auto filter items on todays date in some way?

Is there any way to set alarms on times?

Hello Garry,

If you use a Date & Time field, you’ll be able to set an alert to go off at whatever date and time you specify. You can also setup a frequency for your alerts to go off every hour, day, week, etc.

You can see a list of your alarms as a sub-tab of the Favourites tab. Or if you’re using the iPad version, there’s a separate button in the top toolbar for that. It will also be supported on Tap Forms Mac if you have Mountain Lion.

Hi Brendan,
I am testing out the reminder function as it would be very helpful for follow up calls.
I have it set up but some of the items are grayed out. I can choose date/time & frequency but nothing else. I do not have the ability to add it to calendar.

I do have notifications on for Tapforms to allow it to work.

I have tested it and it didn’t go off. You mention in your reply above “You can see a list of your alarms as a sub-tab of the Favourites tab.” Where is this? I do not see a sub tab or a Favourites tab

I am on a Mac running Tahoe 26.3.1 / using Tapform 5

Make sure you have Tap Forms enabled for the Privacy & Security controls for Calendar and Reminders in the Settings apps on your devices.

In Tap Forms 5, tap on the Favourites tab. Then tap on “Alerts”.

Since I introduced Tags in Tap Forms Pro, which is a replacement for Favourites, that feature is no longer there in Tap Forms Pro to display the records with alerts attached to them. It wasn’t used very much at all and nobody has missed it in Tap Forms Pro as of yet. You may be the first.

Thank You Brendan, but WHERE EXACTLY is this Favourites tab located??. I still do not see it. I have looked through all the headings and dropdowns. The help section in Tapforms 5 does not bring up anything for Favourites, Tabs, or Alerts. Please send directions to it and / or a screenshot.

Could it be under the calendar view ? See Screenshot.
Although you can’t read it as the calendar background is Black as is the text. How do I change either ?

Ah, sorry. You’re using the Mac version.

Make sure you have the “My Forms” list of forms selected. You’ll see it there.

Thank you, I have now found it under My Forms in Tapforms 5 on a Mac. Which brings up more questions:
1). I have two records under favourites. Both individual records have the star in the top right corner but how do I add other favourites or remove from the favourites list?

2). How do I change the background color of Calendar view? Screenshot submitted previously. It has a black background with black lettering…. and a yellow dot to indicate there is something there. Changing the text color for the calendar view could also help, but how is that done?

1. There’s a star button at the bottom-left of the record details view which lets you toggle the star on and off.

2. Is your Mac in dark mode? If so, that view, unfortunately, in Tap Forms 5 has that issue in dark mode. That’s something that I had already corrected in Tap Forms Pro though.

1) I have now found the star to toggle on or off.
2) Yes, I am working in dark mode. Such a shame that we can’t change the colour of the background or text in Calendar mode so unable to use that feature.

Re: the above about alarms, I also couldn’t find the Mac version “Sub-Tab of the favorites tab”, actually I can’t find the Favorites tab. I found it in the iPhone though! Is that in the manual?

I even loaded the “Alert Test” but didn’t see it.

I found a workaround – Working in Dark mode and the info not showing up on the dark background?
(Strangely my first field was black on black, but all of my other field’s information was displaying in white text so easily viewable). For a workaround I changed – on the main form- the company names to pink – They were black) and they are clearly viewable on the multi view form now. (and also the main form)

?- Which brings up another question. If all of my data on the main form is in black, why does it come up in white on the dark multi view form, but the company name did not ??

No, my computer is not in dark mode. Recently updated to Tahoe 26.
I’ve done all the above—
Access to calendar
access to alarms
other things in system preferences…
I see the star, but can’t find where an alarm can be seen. When I select the star that puts a star on the selected record. That is all.

In Tap Forms 5 you need to click on the “All Forms” popup button and choose “My Forms”. That’s where you’ll see the Favourites and the Alerts records.
