After a clean install of os Sierra (from El Capitan), whenever I open a form, the window is pulled in on the right side. I don’t use the full screen option, preferring to drag the form edges to the maximum size. This didn’t happen before, so I wonder if I am missing something. Attached is a screenshot of the lower right corner when the form is opened. Thanks for any help.

    Hi John,

I’m not aware of any issues with resizing a Tap Forms document window. It should remember the last size of the window you had the next time you open up the document.

Have you tried rebooting and trying it again?

    Thanks,

    Brendan

Rebooting was the first thing I tried after noticing the behavior.

Do you have a third-party window management system running perhaps? My screen isn’t that big, so I haven’t noticed any issue like that. I have a 15″ MBP.

No I don’t. I try to keep the OS as clean as possible, using less than 30gb on a 1tb internal drive! TF5 is the only app that has this issue. BTW, this is a 27″ iMac.

    Bizarre indeed!

If you press the option key and click the green expand button in the titlebar, does the window resize to the full screen (without going into full screen mode)?

Yes, the window resizes to the full screen. However, I have to do that every time a form is opened (even the one I just closed). It’s -still- bizarre!

Ya, it’s definitely odd because I don’t have a restriction on the size of the window.

How about deleting the Tap Forms preferences and launching again?

    Try this:

    1. Launch the Terminal application
    2. Copy the following line to your clipboard

    defaults delete com.tapzapp.tapforms-mac

    3. Paste the above line into the Terminal application window
    4. Press return.
    6. Launch Tap Forms and see how that goes.

    Thanks,

    Brendan

    Hi Brendan,

It was certainly worth a try, but alas, it didn’t correct the issue.

Anyway, for now, I’m just going to accept it as a minor annoyance, but certainly not a deal breaker! Maybe something will turn up later.

    Thanks for your help.

    Regards,
    John
