Will Encrypting my database change how I access it on my iPhone/iPad

I have added a passcode to my iPhone for Tapforms and I’d like to do the same on my computer. I see an option for encrypting it but not a pass code.
Is this the same thing?
Will it encrypt it on my iPhone/iPad?
Also, will it effect how my data is synced?

Hi Carolyn,

The Mac version doesn’t have a passcode option, only the encryption function. That’s because there’s no real way to hide the files on your Mac as there is on iOS. iOS doesn’t have the Finder, so you can’t just look all over the place for files.

You can encrypt each document independently. It won’t affect syncing. You can have the document encrypted on one device and the same document on another device not encrypted and they’ll still sync.

If you encrypt a document on one device it will not cause the same document on the other device to be encrypted. You have to encrypt the document independently on each device.
