Hi there – Happy New Year!

I’m currently evaluating TapForms using a demo and the manual to get myself familiar.

What I couldn’t figure out so far is how to perform a wildcard search.

    Example:

I have a column “article name” (Text) and a record with “article name” = “HTS721010A9E630”.

I tried the search bar with “7210”, “*7210*”, “%7210%” (without the quotes, of course) but I never get a substring match. This seems to be “standard” database functionality, so I guess I miss something here?

    Thanks in advance,

    Thorsten

    Hi Thorsten,

The general search field will only do a begins with type search.

If you need to do a contains type search, you’ll need to click the filter button just to the left of the general Search field and build a search rule to find what you need.

    Thanks,

    Brendan
