Usable with external barcode scanner?

    Hello,

    I’m considering tapforms to track samples in my bio lab. I currently have an external barcode reader that links to my tablet via bluetooth. will tapforms work with this external device, or do I need to use the tablet camera to read barcodes?

    Hi Timothy,

    I have never tried that before. I would think that an external barcode scanner would work just like an external keyboard in that it would just inject the currently scanned value to where the cursor was positioned on the screen. But I don’t know if that’s how they work or not since I don’t have one.

    Let me know if you find out if it works or not.

    Thanks, Brendan. I’ll probably just use the built-in camera, but if I do try the external reader, I’ll let you know what happens.
