Can somebody tell me what has happened to the popup keyboard, here, and how to fix it. I don’t think I did anything to cause it, and it works fine when transferred to iPhone. Thank you.

This is on iPad Pro 12.7”, IoS 26.4.2

    Hi Chas,

I’m not seeing that behaviour at the moment.

Maybe try quitting Tap Forms Pro and launch it again. Are you using a hardware keyboard perhaps? For selecting a date, you wouldn’t normally see a keyboard. Just a scroller to choose the time for your Time field.

    Thanks,

    Hi Brendan,
Thanks. If you tap on the scroll centre it opens up and you can type in the time. I use it as it is far faster than scrolling. I need to capture times quickly and they’re all random.

I’ve quit the app, rebooted my iPad, deleted and reinstalled the app with a reboot too.

I’ve attached a screenshot of what I would expect (as taken from the iPhone).

Ha! Would you believe I’ve never tapped on the time before? I’ve always just scrolled to set a time. Doh!

Ok, now I can reproduce it, I can work on a fix.

    Thanks for reporting this.

Actually I think it’s an iPadOS bug.

I found the same thing happens with Apple’s Calendar app.

Well, if it’s a bug its a weird one, because it didn’t happen at first, and it doesn’t happen on the iPhone. Anyhoo, does that mean you can’t fix it? It’s practically essential for lil ole me!

To me it seems like an operating system bug. iPhone displays things quite differently than iPadOS sometimes.

That specific date control is an Apple control. I just tell it to display the control on the screen. The tapping part of it is handed off to the operating system and all it does is tells Tap Forms is which date or time was selected.

So it will probably have to be fixed by Apple because the code that controls that is not mine.
