I need clarification on the “Add new record details” table control that consists of a + with a > to the right. What exactly is the difference between it and the regular “Add new record”, “+” control?

I couldn’t find information regarding it in the manual or on the forum. Mind ya, I didn’t have my wife here to say, “It’s right there.” ;-)

    Hi Chris,

The only difference is the + button will just create a record inline within the table control. But the +> button will take you to the child form to let you edit the record there. Then when you click the back button on the record details view, you’ll be taken back to the parent record from whence you came.

    Thanks,

    Brendan

    Oh, duh. Thanks Brendan.

    That’s a handy feature.
