    Hi,

Is it possible to scan the formula $now from a bar code into a field and have it display the current time? I’m looking at trying to give a couple of people badges with bar codes, and I would like it when they scan the bar code to put a time stamp into a field on the record.

Any idea’s on how to do this?

    Thanks!

No, that wouldn’t work. But you could try ‘ddate’ (without the quotes). Tap Forms is integrated with TextExpander, so you can create all kinds of macros to do all kinds of things. I’m not sure if it would work with scanning though, but you can certainly try it out. If you type ddate into any text field, Tap Forms will convert that to the current date.

    Thanks!
