Can you tell me what might be happening here? I have a database with photos in each record. Lately the photos are showing up blacked out. If I click on the photo, it disappears. If I click on the eye-ball, the photo will open up and looks normal. Unfortunately I’ve lost a few photos because I inadvertently clicked on the photo instead of opening with the eye-ball. I’ve attached an image to show how it looks. I should note that this is only in the custom layout mode. They look fine in the default layout. Also, it’s not happening on every record.

Strange. I see the photo there in your screenshot. It’s just blacked out.

If you quit and re-launch Tap Forms, does that make it look ok then? Make sure the layout inspector panel is not visible.

Quitting the program seems to fix the problem temporarily. It starts reoccurring fairly soon after rebooting. Another problem is that clicking on an image, whether it is blacked out or not, deletes the image. I’ve done this a couple times thinking a click would open the image. I’m learning to always use the eyeball. But I think it should be fixed so that clicking on an image either opens it or does nothing so images don’t get deleted by accident.

    Hi Colleen,

Are you using the latest version of Tap Forms Pro?

I think that issue you’re seeing may be due to a slight drag and drop operation. When you click, do you accidentally move the mouse just a little bit? I do have a fix for this issue coming in the next update.

If you’d like to email me an archive of this form or a sample record or two that exhibit this black-out problem, I’d like to take a deeper look into this issue for you. Email me at support@tapforms.com.

    Thanks,

    Brendan
