Printing – columns too wide

I am printing all records in a form, using the Multi-column View. I have set the column widths as I want them. However, those widths are not reflected when I print. My printed columns are much wider than I want. In my template, the columns would not be wide enough to fit a letter sized sheet printing portrait. However, the printout fills the sheet and thus makes my columns too wide.

In this particular lists, which are family birthdays, the months default to the left, while the dates default to the right. I cannot get them to center. Is that possible.

I should have added that this form and database were imported from Bento. They were not initially developed in Tap Forms.
