This may be really obvious and I’m just missing it. I’ve figured out the cascading pick lists and I’ve made several lists, but they are always in the Form view. I’m trying to figure out how to get the pick lists to appear in the Documents view so that I can use them in other forms as well. ???

Select a picklist and then click on the option icon as shown in the image below to move it to the Document.

Or when you create a new picklist, select the Document tab first before creating a picklist.

Just to chime in here, it seems that on macOS Tahoe, that little gear button icon seems to be invisible because they changed the metrics for the popup button and it no longer shows. If you hover your mouse over that spot, it’ll show where the button should be and clicking it will show the menu Daniel posted the screenshot for. I’ve corrected this for the next version of Tap Forms Pro.

I was able to create picklists myself not a problem and even multiple documents… I nested one document into another. But I like how on the Mac how it expands the nested document. Is there a way on the iPad to expand the nested document like it is on the Mac so I don’t have to click into it? Just curious. It makes it kind of tedious.

    Hi Troy,

Do you mean displaying a Link to Form field like the Table view does? Like the little mini-spreadsheet view? Is that what you mean by expand the nested document?

    Thanks,

    Brendan

I’m not entirely sure. I’m still a bit new to TapForms and still playing with it. But I did notice that the form I had created on the iPad, which has a nested document(linked) in it… when i open it on the Mac, it doesn’t just have it “closed” where i need to click on the field to open it then i see all of the nested fields to make changes. On the Mac they are all “listed” going down in my form… and i love that… which is really what i want.

Ah ok. So I do think you mean the spreadsheet like view to display your records. Ya, that’s something I should probably do on iOS too. I have it for the Table field, just not the Link to Form field on iOS.

Even if there was a toggle or something to have it collapsible or something would be good. I like how in the field settings on the records that you can show how many lines it shows information… So if there was even a toggle to say yes i want to show “expand” the nested document or no I don’t. But i do love tapforms and being able to nest another document inside is fantastic. Thank you for what you are doing!
