I’ve had two instances where photos disappearing. I had to load photo a second time but place holder for first was still there

Is this on the same device where you actually loaded the photo?
No its a drag and drop from another device
I’m sorry Tim & Brendan, don’t mean to hijack this thread, not sure if I sure open a new thread, my issue is the same – I also have disappearing photos.
Should I open a new thread?
Makes me nervous for storing critical information. How do I delete ghost image.
Are you using just P2P sync or any other sort of sync?
You can just select the individual image and hit delete to delete it.
Is P2P sync syncing with other nearby devices directly?
I am using iCloud to sync.
I have quite a number of photos missing all over the place. They have gone missing randomly over time. In place is that mountain photo icon. I would prefer not to have the icon removed, as it acts as a flag to remind me that I had a picture for that entry before. I could in the future get the picture again if I find it, or have the time.
