    Hi,

We are using Tap Forms on an ipad to collect data on a building conditions survey. We are saving the photographs we take within the records to the photo album and then exporting a csv file from Tap Forms.

Our issue is that in the csv file Tap Forms gives the photo a long name like this:

    45AE1942-E0B2-4D36-BA80-C0DC43A170E8-7239-00001203E10579A3.jpg

but this name is no way seems to relate to the image name we get when we import our photos from the ipad to the desktop computer.

Any clues/suggestions on how the two could be cross referenced?

    Thanks,

    Jim

    Hello Jim,

The file names in the CSV should match up with the file names in the Photos folder within Tap Forms. They do not match up with the original file names that you had on your desktop. This is because Tap Forms actually takes your photos and rescales them down to a maximum size of 1024×1024 pixels. It then writes out a new file and stores it in the Photos folder within Tap Forms.

    Thanks,

    Brendan

So Brenden, where does one find (and then download) the Photos folder within Tap Forms?

    Hello Jim,

Plug your phone into iTunes and go to the iTunes File Sharing area (under the Apps button). Scroll down until you see Tap Forms in the list of apps that support iTunes File Sharing. Click on it then on the right you’ll see the Photos folder. You can drag that to your hard drive.

    Thanks!

    Brendan
