Image Previews not showing

    Old codger from Blighty here,
    Just Input over 1000 images/info onto a simple database, logged on this morning and, for some reason, when I drag/drop my pdf’s onto the Image/photo field they are not previewed. When I click in the empty Image/photo field the image shows, and when I close the image, again the preview is not there? Everything was working fine until this morning. I also have a “File Attachment” field for the same image which is working fine. What have I clicked on to make my previews vanish?

    Mac OS Tahoe 26.3.1
    Tap Forms Pro Version 1.1 (Build 486)

    Hi Ken,

    Looks like you found a bug. Sorry about that.

    I’ll work on a fix for it for the 1.1.1 update I’m preparing.

    Hi Brendan, thanks for the update, however, the problem is still there, BUT, only with pdf files, Jpegs, PNG files preview OK. The vast majority of my Images are on pdf’s unfortunately.
    There is no problem when I attach the same pdf to another field in the same database which is a file attachment type.

    I have logged out re-booted but still cannot see the pdf preview.

    I was wondering if it was anything to do with the recent OS update 26.3.1

    I don’t know if this is connected in any way but when my database auto sync’s to the cloud it sticks at 58.2% or 59.1% or 62% for 3-4 minutes and I get the spinning beach ball of death! It does eventually sync by I realise that this lag could be my network.

    Hi Ken,

    I may be fast, but I’m not THAT fast! :)

    What I meant by I fixed the bug, is that I fixed it for the next update. It will be in the 1.1.1 update that I’m preparing to release soon.

    Sorry Brendan I mis-understood your reply, however, you are THAT fast, I have another database running on a different system and I’m still waiting for a reply from a query I posted in December last year!

    Oh, I thought you meant a different database in Tap Forms running on a different computer that you were waiting for an answer from me for. I re-read your response and I think you mean a different vendor’s database app. Glad it wasn’t me you were waiting that long for.

    Hi Brendan, Thanks for fixing the preview issue, however, the zoom feature appears to have been toggled off
