I’ve been setting up my new database – but the system has now crashed and will not re-open.

In Tap Forms – if you select a number of elements at the same time in the Layout mode and then drag, Tap Forms locks up – or hides my fields off screen. I won’t do that again – but right now my database has locked up and will not re-start. When I Force Quit, the application is shown as (not responding). I have no access to my database.

QUESTION : How can I reboot my database? Hopefully without losing data.

    With thanks – John

    Hi John,

I’ve seen one instance where dragging can be slow on the layout editor. That’s when you have a large image in your current record and you’re dragging around a Photo field. A lower resolution image works fine.

To startup again, try launching the Terminal application and then enter in the following command into the Terminal window:

    defaults delete com.tapforms.mac

    Then re-launch Tap Forms.

See if you can get in again.

    Thanks,

    Brendan
