Let’s say I have a database with names. One field is holding the names. I want to be warned when I enter a name in that particular field wchich have been entered in a previous record so I don’t get two records with the same name. Can this be done in TapForms in some way.

I think this is called a “unique” field. A field that can not hold the same data in more than one record.

    Hi Maurice,

I haven’t made a feature yet to support unique fields in Tap Forms.

    Thanks,

    Hi Brendan,
Thanks for your reply. Do you have any plans to?

    Hi Bredan,

This feature is very important for me and I think it will be usefull for others. I record clients with their ID card number (and much more info). Duplicate clients is a waste of time. Please, think about that ;-)

    Thank you.

It’s on the radar, I just don’t have a timeline for it yet. Been very busy with the migration to Couchbase. I just got the Mac version up and running with it today! Now I need to get all the data showing and the app behaving properly. So still lots of work to do.
