I am currently on the trial to see if TapForms will work for me – very impressed so far!

I need to be able to store documents in DEVONthink and link them to TapForms.

I understand I can add a deep link from DT into the TF Website field and with a click on a record’s Website field open DT and the linked document. I can do this in AirTable and will shortly test this in TF.

I also want to obtain a deep link to the record in TF and paste it into DT so I can click on it in DT and open the record in TF. I couldn’t find any mention of copying a record link in the documentation, but then noticed a menu item: Edit | Copy Record Link. It looks like it would satisfy my need – will it?

The problem is when I click on a record and select Edit | Copy Record Link the Copy Record Link menu item is greyed out. Why would this be the case?

    Thanks

OK. Hmmm, it seems the trial is not activated without setting up a recurring payment…

Having done that, the menu item is not greyed out. I have tested it.

After clicking the link in DT, Tap Forms opened at the record, so that behaved correctly. Unfortunately, a spinning beach ball appeared and Tap Forms had to be force quit. I sent the standard report to Apple.

Two subsequent tests did not see the issue repeat.

    Thanks

    Hi ADDdb,

Sorry for the trouble. I’m glad you got the Copy Record Link function to work. But I’m sorry about the spinning beachball. I’m not sure what would cause that. If you could send the report to me directly to support@tapforms.com that would help me to solve it more quickly. The ones sent to Apple are good, but also hard to find and they’re anonymous, so I don’t know who generated the error.

    Thanks,

    Brendan

Hi @Brendan, I’m not sure where to find the report now that I sent it to Apple. If you know where Apple would store it on my machine I’d be pleased to send it to you at Support.

    Thanks
    Andrew

They can be found in the Console application on your Mac.

There’s a section for Crash Reports and Spin Reports.
