LeoParticipantBrendan,
in the new version the form view on the left is always collapsed when opening TapForms. This way all the saved searches are visible while the forms aren’t
The setting isn’t saved when exiting Tapforms I guessLeo

BrendanKeymasterHi Leo,
Hmm… So when you select a form, do you not see your records listed? Or do you mean that Tap Forms is not remembering which forms you have expanded and which you don’t?
Thanks,
Brendan

LeoParticipantTap forms does not remember which forms have expanded.

BrendanKeymasterHi Leo,
I have not been able to verify that yet. It seems to work for me.
Maybe something is wrong with the defaults database (where all the preferences are stored).
If you enter this command into Terminal, this will clear it out and let you start again. You won’t lose any data, but iCloud sync will be disabled after:
defaults delete com.tapforms.mac
Thanks,
Brendan

Frank TikketParticipantYa, mine did this too… no biggie, just exit the program and come back in and it works again! :-)

Frank TikketParticipant*quit the program (command & Q)
April 29, 2014 at 10:06 PM #9832
LeoParticipantBrendan,
I entered the command.
Got this back:
defaults delete com.tapforms.mac
MacBook-Pro-van-LWA:~ lwateunissen$ defaults delete com.tapforms.mac
2014-04-30 07:05:05.649 defaults[4099:507]
Domain (com.tapforms.mac) not found.
Defaults have not been changed.
MacBook-Pro-van-LWA:~ lwateunissen$April 29, 2014 at 10:13 PM #9834
BrendanKeymasterHi Leo,
If you do it more than one time in between launching Tap Forms you’ll get that message.
If you want to see what settings Tap Forms stores, you can type:
defaults read com.tapforms.mac
April 29, 2014 at 10:17 PM #9835
LeoParticipantBrendan,
I only did it once.
After entering the read command. The message
2014-04-30 07:15:50.880 defaults[4127:507]
Domain com.tapforms.mac does not existcomes up.
April 29, 2014 at 10:33 PM #9838
LeoParticipantBrendan,
this is on my Macbook 2014
on my macbook 2010 the defaults exist.April 29, 2014 at 10:40 PM #9839
LeoParticipantBut, on the mac 2014 where it says nothing exist.
com.tapforms.mac exist in …../library/containers
can I safely delete this?
Leo

LeoParticipantBut on the macboolk 2014 the beta crashes.
What a mess ins’t it? :-)
April 30, 2014 at 5:47 PM #9856
BrendanKeymasterHi Leo,
You can’t run the beta on any other devices other than the ones you have been granted permission for. We should talk about this on the beta forum in any case. But you should just run the full production version now on all your Macs. At least until I’m ready to send out another beta.
Thanks,
Brendan

LeoParticipantBrendan,
I realized that later. I had to revert to the beta version or we went out of business until now. I had to choose. :-)
But now…all distributions are installed.
And YES!!! He did it again!
thanks,
Leo
