Good day to all, Anyone else having a problem with using the flatbed scanner function in the image field?

When using the scanning feature in the image field, I am finding that everything works OK for the first one or two scans, I then get the following error message when I try another scan “The selected folder is not writable”
On checking the folder I have nominated as my destination folder, it is empty, yet the first one or two images that I have scanned successfully, are still visible within the database.
I have tried setting my destination folder in various locations, both external and internal, and re-naming it, full read/write permissions are set but I still get the same problem.

Imac. Tahoe 26.4. TFP Version 1.1 (Build 486) Scanner Epson V700 Photo.

    Cheers
    Ken.

    Hi Ken,

I know that the scanner function was very finicky when I added it to Tap Forms Pro a while ago. I’ll have to take another look into it though.

If you quit and re-launch Tap Forms Pro, does it let you have another couple scans before you get this error?

    Thanks,

    Brendan

Thanks for the prompt reply Brendan, it depends what mood it is in !! sometimes it lets me scan a couple of images before it states that the folder is not writable, and, other times it won’t scan unless I change the destination folder and then it will only let me scan one or two images. I have tried quitting TP and restarting my MAC but the problem persists. What did baffle me was that the images appear in the DB but not in the destination folder?
No real hardship, I will use my scanner software and drag and drop the images onto the DB. I just thought that I would give the feature a tryout as it is handy to have everything in one place.

    Cheers

    Ken
