dsimmonsParticipantI am new with TapForm and have a few questions about using fields:
1. Are there any commands available in these fields such as SUM or COUNT?
2. Can a calculated field be referenced in a subsequent calculation?
3. Is there any way to move fields about a form other than the vertical order? Many thanks for the help.

BrendanKeymasterHi Don,
1. Not in the calculation field itself, but at the form level you can do a Total, Average, Minimum, or Maximum for a single field which will display at the bottom of your records. The count of records is always displayed.
2. No they cannot.
3. Not in the iOS versions, but I’m working on an update for the Mac version which will add this feature.
Thanks!

Don asked about move fields about a form other than the vertical order.
You answered, you are working on the feature.Did you add the feature or are you still working on it?
Thanks in advance and Greetings from Germany.

BrendanKeymasterHi Klaus,
The Mac 2.0 version now has a new layout designer which lets you create pretty sophisticated customized form layouts. That feature doesn’t exist on the iPhone or iPad versions though.
Thanks!

John DempseyParticipantHi Brendan
Are there any plans to bring the forms layout functionality to IOS?
This is about the only feature I miss from Bento.
Kind regards

BrendanKeymasterHi John,
I plan on bringing the display of custom layouts to the iPad version. Not to the iPhone version as there’s really not enough room there for that. But we’ll see. I have no timeline for that.
Thanks,
Brendan
