    Brendan,

when doing an export to XLSX the decimal separator is set to the dot (US style)
In CSV I get the correct comma (Localised style Dutch).

Is there somewhere a setting I’m missing in the systemprefs?

Also, is it possible to show the dates as dd-mm-yy instead of dd-MONTH–YYY

    Hi Leo,

The dates are being formatted with this setting: yyyy-MM-dd before I export them. Perhaps Excel is changing them? As for the dates, I’m just returning the value as they’re stored in the database directly (which is what is required for the SQL engine to work). I’m not doing any conversion to the local format. But I guess that’s something I’ll need to do. Does it mess things up in Excel in Dutch?

    Thanks,

    Brendan

    Brendan,

the first question is about numbers, in CSV I get the correct version for me i.e 123,40 but when exporting to XLS I get 123.40 as a result and excel thinks these are thousands…

As for the date formatting I don’t think excel is messing thing up. Didn’t noticed it. But i’ll check it out later this week (have to reinstall office because of a crash)

    Hi Leo,

Ok, I’ll run a number conversion before I store them in the Excel file.

    Thanks,

    Brendan
