Dirk SoenenParticipantWhen displaying column view filtering with a tag, headers seem to disappear, see attached file regards

Cliff RichardsonParticipantI just tested this and I get the same result as you have described. May 6, 2025 at 3:00 PM #52112
BrendanKeymasterAh right. I need to make sure it switches you back to the Single Column List View when viewing tagged records. I can’t display multiple different header rows with different sets of field names per form, so that’s why it doesn’t work right. I just need to prevent you from getting into that state. Try it with the Single Column List View. May 6, 2025 at 7:28 PM #52113
Dirk SoenenParticipantDear Brendan, It indeed works with single colums. May 6, 2025 at 7:58 PM #52114
Dirk SoenenParticipantAnd it works also with multiple column if i put the tag in a regular search.
However, in a regular search it is not possible to put only a tag as argument. And sometimes i need to first create a search without a tag argument, and then to modify it .
I have no complete testing, but it seems to me that the search part need some fine tuning.

BrendanKeymasterI’ve just fixed this issue so that it will always display the list of tagged records in the single column list view. Next build. I’m not entirely sure why a search with only a tag would be required. Clicking on the tag itself would give you a list of all the records that had that tag. May 8, 2025 at 6:28 AM #52150
Cliff RichardsonParticipantI’m not entirely sure why a search with only a tag would be required. I have 2 databases. Each one has one form. My preferred view is multi-column list. When I tagged some records “Important” and I clicked on the tag “Important” in the sidebar, I did not understand why switching to the multi-column list view didn’t work. Now I see why you only allow single-column view because when you have tags across 2 or more forms, multi-column view can’t show records from more than one form. So, when I want to see tagged records in a multi-column view, I just create a saved-search with criteria like “Title is not empty” and “Tag = Important”. I just noticed something: If you are in multi column view and search “All forms”, it behaves like tags (ie doesn’t like multi-column view). Thank you for your hard work on the TFpro. Dirk SoenenParticipantI did exactly the same and i’m very happy that the search and tag can be combined.
And indeed, thanks for working hard. i understand that a major release is a complex happening, so, in time, all be fine,
 Thanks Brendan, keep going onregards

BrendanKeymasterAh ok. That makes sense now. I’ll look into letting you search with only tags selected.
