Upgraded to SONOMA and now SOME of my date formats aren’t working. I set up a custom date as yy-MM-dd – 23.10.11 for October 11, 23 and it’s coming out as 11-10-23.  Not all my forms are acting this way, and only new records seem to be affected.

Both dates in the attached photo are formatted as above.

    Any ideas?

Does it show the right format on the Default Layout? Or is it just in your custom layouts? If on the custom layouts, try removing the field from the layout and re-dragging it in from the Fields list at the lower-right of the Layout Inspector panel.

Also make sure you have Default selected for the Date Format if you have a Custom Date/Time Format specified.

It’s showing the incorrect format in the Default layout as well, and yes, Default is selected in the date Format.

If I select the date with the calendar, it shows correctly until I tab to the next field and then changes to 03-10-23 for Oct. 3, 2023 – but when I click the calendar again, it’s showing 2003.  The yy-mm-dd seems to be ok, but instead of 2023, it’s using the day as the year.  Very confusing!  And it sorts with the year 2003 rather than 2023

If I type in the date as dd-mm-yy, then it formats to the correct yy-mm-dd format.  I used to type it in as yy.mm.dd and it would format properly.

sorry.. that didn’t work either. It reverses the day and year when I tab out.

OK… if I type it in as dd-mm-yy, it will display as yy-mm-dd. That seems to be the only way it will work.

Just noticed this morning… in a field that I’ve typed in the date as mm-dd-yy, and formats correctly as yy-mm-dd, if I tab through that field at any point, it reverts back to displaying dd-mm-yy, but the day has become the year.

Can you please email me your form template? I’ll test it out here.
