    I’m an experienced computer user and a new TF user.

    I created a test .csv file and imported it as a form. I ran some tests importing and exporting. All went fine and easy to use.

    I’m using excel to create my spreadsheets.

    Now my issue;
    I created 18 forms all are single row single file .csv files, using excel. When I go to import a file. Not one of those files are selectable/accessible though TF. I have tried everything I can think of to make sure that I did create a good .csv file. Complete with checking out that my mac was operating properly.

    When I export a form now it is saved as a .TFF

    What changed?

    Hi Jim,

    It sounds like you’re using the “Import Form Template” command instead of the “Import Records” command. And when you use the “Export Form Template” command, Tap Forms will generate a .tff file which is the definition of a form in Tap Forms that you can share with others. You will probably want to use the “Export Records” command to get a CSV file.

    Thanks!

    How silly of me to not see that.

    After all I wanted to import “a form”… So I should have imported “a record”

    That was a good hour wasted… Oh well Learned something…

    A Labeling suggestion;
    Import Records… CVS
    Export Records… CVS

    Import Forms… TFF
    Export Forms… TFF

    Maybe the next person would be helped…

    Tap Forms looks very powerfull and the fact it works across all 3 is a huge reason I looked at in the first place.

    Thanks for your help
