    Hi
I am new to relational databases – I used to use Campbell Systems Masterfile many moons ago – SO GOOD!
I need to keep records for general monthly maintenance, plant specific pruning and pictures, purchases and orders – both placed and as reminders, bug and blight controls with chemical references, costings for everything,……
    THERE MAY WELL BE MORE!!!
Can anyone help me as I don’t want to set everything up and then find I have gone off in totally the wrong direction which is more then possible!
    MANY thanks in anticipation

It’s difficult to provide advice Tony without knowing exactly what you want to do. However, you need to be aware that while TF has some relational capabilities it is not a ‘relational database’ in the true sense of the term. FileMaker Pro and MS Access are examples of relational databases.

It may be possible to build something in TF that would meet your needs as long as the joins (relationships) are not very complex.

Sorry I can’t be of more help.
