Hi, new user here.
Just wondering if it is possible to delete records in bulk (following a criteria).
For my particular scenario, I assume that my data will grow overtime, and I will end up with records which I have no use for any longer, which I want to remove from the Ipad/Iphone database. (I will archive it after exporting it away).
Is there a way to either bulk delete records using some criteria (even the search)?
Alternatively I could remove the records in the exported list, and reimport it. However, currently Tap forms will only update records in the import list, and will not delete any existing records (on the phone) that is not in the import list. Is there a way to change this behaviour?
The current workaround I can think of is to export the rows. Delete ALL records from the phone, then reimport the rows.
Hi eq,
At the moment Tap Forms will only remove all records in the form when you use the Delete All Records command. It’s something I need to improve to tell it to delete only those records found from a Saved Search. Once I can get that done then it will be better for you.
If you have the Mac version you can just select all the visible records displayed after a search and then press command-a to select all and then press the Delete key to delete just those records.
Then you can just upload the changes from the Mac version to iCloud and those records will be removed from the iOS devices.
Thanks,
Brendan
