    Hi Brendan
If I build a search using the ‘cog wheel’ to add rules, how are the rules treated when adding several – AND / OR / IF???
Is there a way to have a combination of these using the cog wheel, or do you have to type in the full argument in the ordinary search field box?
Only just got into boolean searches so still finding my way! i.e. which takes priority as I guess order is important!!!
    Cheers

Thanks for bringing this up. I also wanted to know how to do a search with an OR function. Right now it seems we can only do the AND function.

Searches across fields are always ANDed, so it narrows down the result set the more rules you add.

If you want to do an OR search, you can do that within a single field by putting the keyword OR (must be uppercase) into the search term.

    For example:

Movie Title contains Terminator OR Hunger

The search rule value after selecting Movie Title and the contains operator would have just the value “Terminator OR Hunger” (no quotes).

    Thanks,

    Brendan
