b dParticipantHi
I set the font in the note field and applied it to all the records. However, the font setting will return to default 12 pt while typing.
Is there a solution?

BrendanKeymasterHmm… Tap Forms should just use whatever the last font setting was when you start typing.
Have you pasted information from an outside source maybe into that field?
What version of Tap Forms are you using?

b dParticipantThank you for answering.
I am doing “paste =” operation with PopClip. I thought it was suspicious, so I tried it but I was able to enter it without problems. I can not think of any other reason.
Version is 5.3.2.

b dParticipantAlthough I thought that PopClip had no problem, after pasting, when switching to another form and returning it became the setting entered last.
You have to make it 12pt to use paste data from outside.

BrendanKeymasterYou could also use the “Paste as Plain Text” option so that Tap Forms strips out any formatting from the content that you’re pasting.

b dParticipantThank you for answering.
Text pasted with “Paste as Plain Text”
Display with the size set in “Tap Forms”
Is it impossible?October 2, 2018 at 8:34 PM #30873
BrendanKeymasterTry pasting within the exiting text. I think maybe when you paste at the end, it’s taking on the default font.

b dParticipantThank you for answering.
Is it to paste plain text “B” like “AAAABBBBBA”? Certainly the font settings will be maintained, but it is troublesome.
It will be helpful if you let me improve the phenomenon that character size returns to default.October 2, 2018 at 11:33 PM #30877
BrendanKeymasterI was doing some tests today on this and when I pasted as plain text within some other content, it maintained the proper font setting. I was doing this test on the Note field edit window.

b dParticipantThank you for answering
It seems that my explanation was not enough. I created a new layout and created a note field input screen in it. All the work is done within it.
October 3, 2018 at 12:32 AM #30879
b dParticipantThe procedure of the operation is as follows.
01. Create new file
02. Create “Form A” “Form B” in the file
03. Create a note field in “Form A”
04. Create a new layout
05. Create note field in new layout
06. Return to default layout
07. Open note field
08. Set the font size to 14 pt
09. Give font style to all records
10. Move to new layoutCharacter input can be done with a font size of 14 pt
11. Copy text from the outside
12. Move to note field of new layout
13. Paste in plain text
14. Go to “Form B”
15. Return to “Form A”
16. Go to note field of new layout
17. Enter characters from the last position on the input screenThe font size is default 12pt ←?
October 3, 2018 at 11:42 AM #30890
BrendanKeymasterAh.. I thought you were using the Note field edit window from the Default Layout.
To set the default font for a Note field on a custom layout:
1. Go to the custom layout
2. Click the Layout button to go into layout edit mode.
3. Select the Note layout object.
4. Change the font settings there.
5. Exit the Layout edit mode by clicking the Layout button again. Now try entering text again. If there’s no overriding font information within the Note field content itself, Tap Forms should use the default you setup.

b dParticipantThank you for answering.
I succeeded in the way I was taught. I assumed that the default layout settings will be applied to the custom layout. Since the number of created forms is enormous, it seems that it takes time to correct.
