rdewhurstParticipantI just downloaded the Lite version of Tap Forms to try it out, but it crashes every time I try to edit a Website Address field. When I click Done or Save, the app freezes. I can’t then restart Tap Forms until I reboot the iphone. (The field has been changed, I can now see, but if I try to change it again the same problem occurs.) I love the app but I can’t really use it unless there’s a way to fix this…
thanks
Russell

BrendanKeymasterHello Russel,
hmm.. that’s odd. It doesn’t crash when I visit web sites. Can you tell me which website you’re trying to add? Perhaps there’s something about that site which is causing the trouble.
Does it happen with any website? Try http://www.tapforms.com and see if that works
Thanks,
Brendan

rdewhurstParticipantVisiting websites is no problem, that works fine. It’s when I edit the text field called “Website Address”, on the Edit Value screen. Specifically, when I hit Save or Done the screen freezes and I have to return to my main iPhone app menu.
When I reboot and go back into Tap Forms, I see the edit has taken, so I can edit data, it just causes the crash.
Other text fields (i.e. not website addresses) seem to work fine, e.g. Website Name, Passport Owner, any of the others.
Thanks for the quick reply.

BrendanKeymasterHi Russell,
Tap Forms is attempting to get the icon for the website when you tap Done or Save. Sometimes if the website doesn’t respond in time, then it appears that Tap Forms has frozen, but it hasn’t. It’s just waiting for the website to respond.
Are you by any chance adding https websites rather than http websites?
Thanks,
Brendan

rdewhurstParticipantWhen I posted this, I was in South Africa on a very flaky wifi connection. Now I’m back home on a better connection, the error seems to have righted itself: i.e. it must be able to download the icons properly. So all seems to be working ok.
Many thanks for you very swift answers, Brendan!
