Christophe GronierParticipantHi all,
I purchased Tap Forms Mac and started to create various “forms” with success :-).
I want now to move to the next step and use some of these forms on my other devices (iphone and ipad) – and hence purchase the Tap Forms licences for these devices. However, before I do that I want to be sure that I will be able to do the following.
I will describe below my expected work environment an would appreciate to know what can be done out of the box, what will need a workaround and what will not work whatever. The Mac will probably be the device on which all will start :
– Database structure design and adjustments.
– Mass import of data (if already available from another database)
– Link within formsThen come’s the transfer and sync with the i-devices.
I want to be able to export and sync only some of the forms and maybe not the same forms on both the iphone and the ipad.
Assuming I have several forms the distribution could be :
Form A – Mac and iPhone
Form B – Mac only
Form C – Mac and iPad
Form D – (clild of form C) Mac and iPad
Form E – Mac only
etc.Is this possible :
– By simple transfer of data (through iTunes) ?
– By icould Sync ?
– In the future (!) by Dropbox transfer and/or sync ?My issue is that some of my forms are (will) be too large to afford being on all devices at the same time (except on the Mac of course).
Another related question is about iCloud usage.
Will the Tap Forms data stored on iCloud be accounted by Apple as non-free storage ?
If so would this mean that I will have to upgrade the iCloud storage if my synced data (and the other stuff stored on iCloud) exceeds 5 Gb ?Thanks for reading !

BrendanKeymasterHi Christophe,
Tap Forms syncs all or nothing over iCloud. So you can’t pick and choose which forms get synced and which forms don’t get synced. It will use up your iCloud Drive storage space. So you will have to upgrade iCloud if you go over your current 5 GB.
Thanks,
Brendan
