YogieParticipantHi Brendan,
is there a way to share and sync data with multiple devices regardless of the iCloud account?
I have the following scenario:
Our iMac is using our shared iCloud / AppleID where we have Tap Forms for Mac installed.
My wife has an iPhone – the primary AppleID is the shared one and she is having her own AppleID for iCloud sync.
I do have an iPhone also using the share iCloud / AppleID and my own personal AppleID for iCloud sync. Same setup on my iPad.
Now I would love to synchronize only specific Forms on all devices including our iMac.
Some Forms should be and stay private and not synched – respectively they should be synched but only at the personal iCloud of each user. Can this be achieved and if how?
Cheers

BrendanKeymasterSorry, but there’s no way to sync across different iCloud accounts. And it’s an all or nothing sync.
Thanks,
Brendan

YogieParticipantIs there no other way to do it? Like via DropBox or iTunes?
If not can this be a feature wish?August 26, 2013 at 10:09 PM #6553
YogieParticipantSync over WiFi or bluetooth would also be a nice option to sync across multiple accounts/devices – I mean a direct sync and yes if not possible to sync just specific forms the entire DB would be ok, better than nothing!

BrendanKeymasterIt would take a large effort, but I had hoped to add Dropbox syncing at some point in the future. I’m just waiting for their SDK to improve. They have recently made some changes to it that would help in this area. But it’s also a herculean effort to add Dropbox syncing. So it’s a long way off if ever. But I know it’s a popular request, so it’s something I would like to do. Just need to sit down and dedicate all the time necessary to get that done. And at the moment I’m busy on the layout engine for Mac and the iOS 7 update.

YogieParticipantDear Brandan,
thank you for letting me know. It would already be great to have a manual kind of synchronization like a folder sync via iTunes. As I know it from 1 Password. Where I can add the entire Desktop DB into the iOS Apps Folder and the App is synchronizing the changes after starting it. After that I can copy and paste that iOS DB file to the desktop version and the same happens there again. So I can drag and drop the DB from Desktop to the iOS devices back and forth, the only thing I need to take care of is that I have to open the application once before copying the DB back otherwise the changes would not have been synchronized of course.
Cheers
