Simon BantonParticipantHi,
I’m using TFM to catalogue my model railway rolling stock. All the individual items of stock are in one form (“Loft Trains”) and I have a second form called “Rolling Stock Consists” which links to the first one so that I can group particular items into specific trains (which are called “Consists” in railway jargon).
This works reasonably well, but I have two questions:
1) When clicking the √ (“tick”) icon to add an entry to the “Consists” list, what determines which fields from “Loft Trains” are shown in the pop-up select dialog for each record? Is there any way to customise this dialog to show a specific subset of the fields in “Loft Trains” ‘cos I can’t find a way to do it.
2) I make extensive use of photos of rolling stock, but there doesn’t seem to be a way to increase the size of the image shown in the “Photo” field when it appears in the “Consists” form. If I edit the layout I can resize the entire container for the linked record display, and I can widen or narrow each column within that container but I can’t adjust the size of the photo within the “Photo” field. The attached file is a screenshot indicating what I mean.
Hoping for some pointers – many thanks.

Sam MoffattParticipant1. If I understand the first question correctly, the list view settings for the target form control what is displayed. It should be the same values you see when you look at it in the list view (single column list view for example). In your form, click on the form button to get the right panel and then click on the Form tab. At the bottom is a section with “Single Column List View Fields” in it that lets you control how many fields are listed in the view. If you set that to three for example, you’ll get the first three fields. Then your next step is to order the fields in your form to match what you want to see. Depending on how your data is structured, this post on having multiple horizontal objects in list view might help as well to be more space efficient.
2. I have a similar request for making things bigger, I also want a version of the photo grid view as an option for these Link to Form fields which would solve making things bigger though would limit the fields available.

Simon BantonParticipantThanks Sam – Q1 now solved, and also thanks for the pointer to the other thread.
I guess your response for (2) means there’s no current way to achieve a bigger pic in the cell.
Cheers
