    The Dropbox project will simplify this greatly, thanks Brendan.
    But in the meantime: I have three iMacs settled down and syncing nicely, each of them using the same Apple ID. I have a fourth machine, a Macbook Pro, that must continue to use its existing ID.
    I see that Family Sharing is not an option.
    But can I create a new User on the Macbook that uses the same ID as the other three? Then it should only be a simple User switch from the Apple Menu, especially if no password, for the Macbook user to access the database…?

    Hello Demon,

    Yes, that should work. As long as all devices are logged into the same iCloud Apple ID account, you should be able to sync.
