    Hi, Brendan,

I have run into an app crash when I paste nested bullets into a Note field. I have a form I use to document Amazon Vine product reviews. In that form I have a Note field called “Review”(same form and note field from the default value bug). My workflow for writing reviews is to write out my entire review in this field in TF. Then I take my review and paste it into ChatGPT to make it more concise and relatable. Sometimes ChatGPT will spit out nested bullets. I’ve noticed that when I paste the nested bullets into my Note field, TF crashes as soon as I click on a bullet that is indented more than once. I can’t get that part of the field value deleted so my only option was to delete the record and recreate it sans the bulleted list. I have attached a brief video that shows this behavior. Thanks in advance for your help!

    Take care,
    Josh

Try telling ChatGPT to output the result as plain text or markdown. If you don’t need formatting in your note field, you could set it to plain text.

That’s a great suggestion, thanks, Daniel! I need to have formatting for my reviews, but it doesn’t have to be bulleted. If Brendan confirms that it’s not designed to handle bullets I’ll start doing the plain text prompt with ChatGPT. Thanks again!

I think that the note field should handle your use case, but in the meantime, that’s a workaround.

Can you please email me an rtf file that contains a copy of the content that’s causing the crash?

I’m sorry, Brendan, can you remind me what an rtf file is? I feel like I should know this, but I’m drawing a blank.

Open TextEdit and paste your text into a new document, then save it. It automatically should get the .rtf extension. That’s it.

As Daniel suggested. The reason for the RTF file from Text Edit is because it will maintain the formatting as you pasted it.
