TapForms has so much promise, and yet basic functionality seems to be missing (or well hidden.) For instance, text calculation (or concatenation). Take these fields as an example:
FirstName: Bill
MiddleInitial: A
LastName: Smith
I want to be able to generate FirstName+[space]+LastName, like this:
Bill Smith
So that when the record is printed it doesn’t end up looking like this:
Bill [….fifteen empty spaces….] Smith
It also makes it easier to do things like copy & paste to another application.
I’ve used many database managers over the years, and have never found one which didn’t do this – except, apparently, TapForms. Is this functionality buried somewhere?
Not buried. Just not available YET. :-)
It’s coming in Tap Forms Mac 3.0 and Tap Forms for iOS 3.9. I.e. the next updates.
