    Hi,

I have been a regular user of Tapforms for a few years now.

I work as an anesthesiologist and record all my billable activities in an iOS Database (HanDBase). To submit my billings I export the HanDBase records as .csv files and import them into TapForms 5. I then select the relevant recent billings and Print the records to pdf form choosing layout and 4 pages per sheet.

Lately, the program will not allow me to export to a pdf unless I leave it as one page per sheet.

I am running Mojave and am up to date on all software revisions.

Brandon has been very helpful in helping walk through the issue but so far no joy.

    Anyone else confronting these issues?

Just to chime in here, I’m using macOS Catalina and I have not encountered this issue in my testing of using the 4 up layout on the Print window printing to a PDF file.

So if anyone has Mojave still and wants to give this a try, that would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Again,

This issue was bugging me to death.

As I mentioned previously, I could get the program to save as a PDF only if the layout was set to one page per sheet.

I tried opening one of these single page per sheet PDF’s in Adobe Acrobat. Acrobat would crash when trying to save to PDF.

I tried opening the PDF in Preview and noted that it has the same Layout Options as TapForms Mac. (the System Printer Driver…duh!) Interestingly, when I tried to save to a 4 page per sheet PDFin Preview I got the same error message as when I did trying using Tap Forms Mac.

Ah Ha! says I. Maybe the Printer Driver is corrupted? I deleted the printer driver and reloaded a new one. It works again, just as it did before. Problem Solved! (after how many hours?!)

Brandon’s suggestion of trying a different Printer driver was certainly barking up the right tree but I wasn’t able to try that as I didn’t have another Printer on my network.

In the end the issue was a corrupted Printer Driver.

Thanks for all your help. Brandon’s suggestions helped me narrow it down and solve the issue.

    Happy customer here.
