Currently testing migration from Tapforms 5 to Tapforms Pro.
During the migration, “record links” are not converted from ‘tapformz://’ to ‘tfpro://’.
eg.
tapformz://record/view/db-6d1b8…. in Tapforms 5
tfpro://record/view/db-847fc71b… in Tapforms Pro
Is there a solution?
Regards.
Hi John,
Where are your record links located? In a Website field or a Note field or elsewhere?
You could use the Advanced Find & Replace function in the Records menu to replace them all. That’s a Mac version feature.
Thanks,
Brendan

The links are in a note field “as text”. So viewing the note reads (for example) “refer to note ‘Brendans great app'” which when clicked (as it is an active link) sends you to the record, ‘Brendans great app’.
‘tapformz://…’ does not appear in the note therefore.
Just in case you cannot perceive the problem Brendan, I enclose a video to illustrate it. I cannot search for the Tapforms link (tapformz://record/view/db-6d1b…) as it is a “link” value and NOT a “note text” value.

Ok, I see what you mean. I’m going to have to do some changes to my code so that it can do a find and replace on the links within a Note field.
I’ve modified the Advanced Find & Replace function in version 1.0.9 to include an optional checkbox that will let you search the contents of links within Note fields to have Tap Forms replace any text that’s within a URL.
It’s just in beta testing right now, but I’ll send it for Apple App Store review within the next couple of days.
