Tap Forms 5 open port

Hello Brendan,

i just noticed, that TF uses an open port. For what reason? I have not activated any devices for nearby sync!

Hi Chris,

When you open a document, Tap Forms registers itself on the network so that other copies of that document running on other devices can see it when you add the device to the Nearby Sync list.

Tap Forms does this whether or not you’re using Nearby Sync.

But I suppose I should add a button to the Nearby Sync screen to allow you to turn off the listener if you won’t be using Nearby sync. It’ll just complicate things for customers though.
