    Yesterday there was an update to Tap Forms 5, and today it won’t stay opened, I guess there is a bug in the software?

    Just for the technical stuff:
    MacBook M1
    Ventura 13.7.5

    It will open, but crashes within seconds.
    Does that mean I won‘t be able to import my original forms?

    Also on IOS the TF Pro doesn’t find my TF5 files. I do want to test both mac and ios versions.

    Please help.

    Hi Kimberly,

    Sorry for the crash on macOS. It has to do with the older Ventura OS version. I’m submitting a new build to Apple for review today which will not show the new Tap Forms Pro upgrade screen on any OS older than macOS 14. So that should resolve the problem for you when running an old OS.

    If you have the direct download version of Tap Forms 5, then I sent out an update last night, so use the Check for Update command to get that update.

    On the iOS version you need to go to Tap Forms 5 (latest update), then tap on Tools, then tap on Upgrade to Tap Forms Pro and on that screen you’ll see a Send to Tap Forms Pro button. Tap on that and Tap Forms will migrate your files for you to Tap Forms Pro.

    TapForms 5 crashing immediately and repeatedly. Ventura 13.7.2. Just this afternoon–it was fine even this morning!
    Can’t update TapForms because it crashes in about 1 second.
    Ipad seems fine (17.7.6).
    I’ve had a lot of trouble with another computer and Sequoia so I’m not looking forward to upgrading this one…
    What to do?
    As for upgrading to TapForms Pro, I was hoping to wait a bit until the dust settles…

    Hi Brendan,
    Unfortunately, it crashes so fast, that I cannot check for updates. Is there a work around for checking when Tap Forms 5 is closed? I need to access these files. It is only on the screen for a moment. I’ve added a brief video for you to see.

    The TP 5 stays open.

    I have one more question, as the files I want to test in the TF Pro are essential to my business:

    If I import files to TF Pro, will that mean I cannot open them back up in TF 5 again if it isn’t working for me? Would it be a better strategy to create a duplicate file to test the new Tap Forms Pro with? I cannot risk having that databank become inaccessible to me.

    I’m still working with Ventura and do intend to update it soon, but I have been saying that since January 😅. Life just gets in the way.
