    Hi brendan,
Never had this happen before! Possible causes?

Not much to go on with your description. Do you mean that after you pressed the upload to iCloud button, that it stopped midway during an upload? Or syncs don’t come down from iCloud anymore to your other devices?

Can you try the following command in the Terminal application on your Mac:

    brctl log -w

Check to see if there’s any TFSyncDoc or TFSyncDevice file names being written to the log output.

    Try rebooting all your devices.

Does iWork still sync on your devices? E.g. Pages, Numbers, or Keynote?

    Thanks,

    Brendan

Sorry Brendan, not a good post! I meant sync stopped working all together, I pushed a sync from my iPad (primary machine) and nothing happened on either of my Macs. I have now reset sync on all machines. The iPad and one Mac see each other but not the 2nd Mac. The 2nd Mac only sees itself. I tried the Terminal thingy and enclose the results. Look forward to hearing soon.

Update – I now have all 3 machines showing. The iPad has syncd to one Mac, but not the Mac which I have sent the above screen shot for.

    Hi Tony,

Well, you should see TFSyncDoc and TFSyncDevice files appear in that Terminal output. But I don’t see any there.

You should watch the log right when you press the upload to iCloud button and wait to see if it shows any TFSyncDoc files appearing.

Do you want to beta test the new version?

    Thanks,

    Brendan

    Hi Brendan,

I suppose the question is why no sync files appearing? I did get things to sync yesterday, although it took a couple of hours to do so. This morning – no sync as yet from iPad to Macs after 45 mins?

I would love to help with the beta testing, but only when it includes IOS8 as that is my primary machine.

I know you are busy – but – seeing the myriad posts regarding syncing not working, would it be possible to come up with a sticky that sets out what to do in order to get things moving, from the very simple reboot down to the last gasp reset everything and start again from scratch (including clearing queued sync files, or does that happen anyway) That would be REALLT helpful!

    Cheers

    Update:
Sync to one Mac was instantaneous, to the other – still nothing. The Mac that refuses to sync was the one that caused all the trouble originally. So sync is working between two machines, but not to the third although it shows as registered on all devices and they are all logged onto the same account and the encryption key is the same on all of them! Why is one device not cooperating I wonder?

    Hi Tony,

I have a couple stickies at the top of the forum related to steps to take to get sync working again. I’m not sure there’s anything more I can put there.

The iOS beta does require iOS 8, so I’m not sure what you mean by: “but only when it includes IOS8 as that is my primary machine.” The Mac version works with OS X 10.9 and above.

    Thanks,

    Brendan

    Re beta testing
Sorry, i thought I read a post from you saying it was only between macs until you got that working properly! Info re testing would be good, then i can decide.
    Cheers

I’ve also had a sync problem. iPhone is not syncing with my two Macs. Tried re-syncing and it looks like only the two Macs now see each other. I wonder if it has something to do with my iOS 8.3 update?

All three devices worked fine a couple of days ago.

Try the Reset Network Settings function to see if that helps all your devices see each other.

What OS version do you have on your Macs?

    Thanks,

    Brendan

The Macs are not the problem, it is the iPhone that isn’t working. I have OS X 10.10.2 on the Macs and iOS 8.3 on the iPhone. There was a new update of iOS a few days ago.

OK, using Reset Network Settings on the iPhone has helped in that all three devices are now visible as registered devices. However I’m getting synchronization failures. Have reinstalled Tap Forms on the iPhone and all I get now is the default set of forms. Will update if I have any success.

Had to reset iCloud sync and then add back the three devices. All working fine now.
