I added a new device (Apple Air laptop) and when I selected sync to iCloud it first did not ask me for my sync number, then it acted like it was going to sync but now is just locked up. I can’t quit. I went to my other desktop and tried to sync it, and now it’s locked as well.

I haven’t tried to sync my phone because I sure don’t want IT to lock up too.

How do I close, quit and try again. It won’t allow me to force quit.

Okay I was able to force quit, but it’s not syncing on the laptop. And if I try it hangs.

    Hi Shelly,

I would recommend rebooting all of your devices and then try again to see if that fixes the problem.

    Thanks,

    Hi,

turn your device off and on and start TF. After that, be patient. Sometimes the syncproces doesn’t show.

If you didn’t get the chance to enter the sync number then uninstall and reinstall TF. Be sure to enter the sync number first before you turn on syncing. After that, be patient… It can take a while.

Just to be clear, by “sync number”, I think you mean the Encryption Key. Yes, this is important to set the same on all your devices.

Yes encryption key. I added that to the laptop and still had the same issue…however…quitting the application nicely. And then restarting did fix it after the encryption key was entered.

    Excellent. I’m glad that worked.
