I have TapForms v.3.8.3 on an iPad 2 running iOS 7.1.2, and v.4.0.2 on an iPhone 5S running iOS 9.0.1. Before upgrading the iPhone to iOS 9, I was happily syncing TapForms between the two devices, using iCloud sync. But now that doesn’t seem possible. After a Reset Sync on both devices, the iPhone version is telling me to enable iCloud Drive, but that doesn’t exist in iOS 7. Likewise Dropbox syncing was not possible in the iOS 7 version of TapForms.

Am I missing anything? Is there any way to get the “old” iCloud sync working again between these two devices?

    Hi Brian,

There’s no chance of iCloud sync between the new and old version of the OS. iCloud Drive is required now and that was only released in iOS 8. Once you activate iCloud Drive on any device, Apple does a one-time migration of your data from the old “Documents & Data” iCloud service to the new iCloud Drive service. There’s no going back. And that’s an Apple thing, not a Tap Forms thing. So you may want to take it up with Apple, but I doubt they’d change that situation as they really want everyone to move to iCloud Drive now.

    Thanks,

    Brendan
