Hi Brendan
As per my recent emails with you, with a star rating field empty in some records, sorting by star rating does not seem to work properly. Is there any chance of a fix for this. I have got round it by making all records ‘one star’ but that is not ideal. Also, it means rembering to enter one star for all new records. Could there be a default star rating value if the null field fix is not possible?
Cheers….
Ok, so the way I’m going to solve this problem is to set the default rating to 0 instead of null. That should take care of it for new records being created.
Thanks Brendan, guess that will be in a future update? Also, you say for new records, so the fix will have no effect on old records? Could I sort that out somehow if it is the case?
Cheers….
Hi Tony,
Yes, the fix will be in a forthcoming update.
To fix it now for you, just set a rating value to 0, then use the Fill Down function to fill the rest of the values in your form with 0. Or drag the little yellow dot on the multi-column list view to copy the value to the other records. When you have the multi-column list view showing and the rating cell is selected, you can type a number to set the star rating value. Or on the details view you can click on the stars or drag left to set it to 0.
Hi Brendan
Just a quick one, has this been sorted yet?
Cheers….
It should be. I haven’t tested it lately. Does it not work for you in Tap Forms 5.2.1?
Sorry, seems fine here now!
