    Hello!

Long time Tap Forms user here. Some questions.

    1. Tried migrating on an iPad first, didn’t try Mac. Had a hard time finding how to export a tfarc, really needs instructions somewhere how to do that. It appears to only do one form at a time, not the whole file?

    2. There’s no way to delete empty categories, like Uncategorized?

    3. Did you consider a three-column layout for the records? I saw the template library in the screenshots and got excited because it looks very nice. 1st column would be the forms, categories and tags panel (which could be toggled to hide or show), 2nd column the records list, and 3rd column the individual records. The forms panel looks in an odd place.

    Thank you!

    Hi Ron,

    1. On iOS in Tap Forms 5, tap the Tools tab, then tap on the Upgrade to Tap Forms Pro button, then tap on the Send Document to Tap Forms Pro button. Tap Forms 5 will archive your entire document (all forms and records), then send them over to Tap Forms Pro.

But you only want to do the migration on one device and then sync that document with your other devices. If you migrate the same documents on each device, they won’t be able to sync with each other.

    2. No, the Tags and Uncategorized categories are fixed. But on the main Forms list, if you tap on the (+) button and then tap on Hide Empty or Hidden Forms, the Uncategorized category will disappear if there are no forms in it.

    3. Yes, that would be nice. However, the new template library was written in SwiftUI which made that easy to setup. But in the forms, records list, and record details on iOS, that’s all written in Objective-C, which makes setting that up much more difficult. I’d like to tackle that at some point though.

    Thanks,

    Brendan
