tonytParticipantHi
I have a simple to do form. I want the uncompleted tasks at the top and when completed I want them forced to the bottom. I also want the starred records which are uncompleted to be arranged from 3 stars down to no stars. I can only get them to display the other way round, from 1 star down to three. I know this is muddled but hope you can help me! Maybe it is not possible as whatever I try I can’t get the right result!
Cheers….Attachments:

BrendanKeymasterYour sort settings suggest you’re sorting the first and second fields in descending order, but the sort triangles on the fields themselves suggest it’s sorting in ascending order.
Try refreshing the records and see what happens. And quit and re-launch.

tonytParticipantHi Brendan,
No luck! The best I can get I have attached. One thing seems odd in that with the star rating (H/L) field sorted descending the records with no sta rating are sorted above the ones with a star rating, which are indeed sorted descending – if you see what I mean?
Hope you can help me some more soon.
Cheers….

tonytParticipantHi Brendan
In addition to the above, more info. The problems above relate to a saved search. When I looked at ALL the records they are displaying as I expected – that is uncompleted events sorted by star rating at the top and completed events pushed to the bottom of the list. The sort field settings seem to be the same but I am getting two different results?Attachments:

BrendanKeymasterWould you be able to send me an archive of this form so I can experiment with it?
Have you tried grouping your records by the H/L field to see if that makes a difference? You wouldn’t need the sort field on H/L in that case as grouping will automatically sort on them.

tonytParticipantHi Brendan
Sorry for the late reply. For whatever reason things are all working as expected, so I shan’t bother you anymore … until the next time!
