I am trying to send a document from my mac to my iPad to set it up for sync. After selecting “Accept” on my iPad nothing happens and the mac continues to stay “Waiting…”
-Tap Forms 5 open on both the Mac(Tap Forms 5.0.7 build 779 & OS X 10.11.6) and iPad (Tap Form 5.0.4 (568) and iOS 10.0.1)
-iPad is in “Select a File” screen
-I select the closed database document on Mac OS.
-Select “Send document to another device”
-Select the iPad in “Select an nearby device….” dialog
-Select highlighted “Select” button
-Select the “Accept” button on the iPad
-Nothing happens after waiting 2 minutes
-Ater waiting 2 minutes I select done.
Note: The database I am trying to send is one created in Tap Forms 5. I created a new database document and imported data that I exported from on migrated Tap Forms 4 database.
Send Document works between iOS 10 and macOS Sierra. Or between iOS 9 and OS X El Capitan. It doesn’t work between iOS 10 and OS X El Capitan or between iOS 9 and macOS Sierra.
For now just use iTunes File Sharing to copy the files to the location as specified in the attached image.

By the way, it wasn’t me who decided upon this technical restriction. It’s just something in the way that Apple changed the Multi-Peer Connectivity framework that Tap Forms uses for transferring files between devices. They changed something in iOS 10 and macOS Sierra which made it not backwards compatible with the older iOS and OS X versions.
Thank you for the quick response. My Mac is too old to upgrade to Sierra. I am waiting for the new MacBook Pros which I hope will be out soon.
I used iTunes to transfer the file and finished setting up the Cloudant sync and it is all working.
Maybe you can add a warning in a future release.
Thanks.
