Grant CooperParticipantHey Brendan,
I am having an issue with restoring my forms. I have backed up on my IPAD and then restored to my desktop and I seem to loose about 50% of the photos when I restore to the desktop. The file is large with some 4000 images associated and the file is about 3.5GB. IS there any way I can fix this? The images are still on my IPAD but I have updated some of the Data on my Desktop. I eventually want it all an my desktop when it’s completed.
Cheers,

BrendanKeymasterHi Grant,
Can you try this?
1. Plug your iPad into your computer.
2. Launch iTunes.
3. Click on your iPad.
4. Click on Apps
5. Scroll down to the File Sharing area
6. Click on Tap Forms HD
7. On the right are some folders and the database file.
8. Drag the Photos folder to your desktop. All the photos will be in there.
9. Copy the contents of the Photos folder into the following location on your Mac:~/Library/Containers/com.tapforms.mac/Data/Documents/Photos
10. You can get to the above folder by copying that path, then in the Finder press command-shift-g to display the Go to Folder dialogue. Then paste the above path in.
11. Now copy the contents of the Photos folder you copied from the iPad into the above Photos folder.Does that fix the problem?
Thanks,
Brendan

Grant CooperParticipantHey Brendan, That fixed the problem with getting the photos back on my computer.
I think the problem might be stemming from the back up on the IPad. The back up file should be over 8gb (yeah I know!! lots of photos!!). It seems that when the back up on the IPad gets to about 3.17Gb it stops as if it’s completed. Any thoughts?

BrendanKeymasterHi Grant,
Which version of Tap Forms are you using on your iPad?
There was an issue with an older version of Tap Forms that couldn’t create zip files larger than about 4 GB.
Thanks,
Brendan

BrendanKeymasterHi Grant,
Yes, you have the latest version of Tap Forms for iOS.
Is your iPad one of the newer ones or one of the older ones?
I might have to do some testing with files that big. I just got a new iPad Pro (9.7″) with plenty of free space on it, so I should be able to try it out. Just need to find that much data to stick on it in Tap Forms so I can try compressing and restoring.
Thanks,
Brendan

Grant CooperParticipantHey Brendan,
It’s a IPAD Air 2 128Gb. A bit over a year old.
For the moment I am copying the photos across manually. They are the bulk of the data.
Cheers,
Grant
