Wanted to confirm
1) Required Field option is only available of the Mac OS version. There is no equivalent in the iOS version.
2) If field is set to required, it really doesn’t require user to input anything in field before saving form.
Do I understand that correctly? And if so, is the option in OS just a place holder until it can be fully implemented?
My definition of fully implemented is: Cant save a form unless a valid entry is in field and its an option on iOS.
Hi Mark,
Ya, this is only a Mac feature right now. And is only effective when you have the Show Edit/Save button option enabled. It displays the field in red when it’s required and displays an error message if you click the Save button when a field doesn’t have a value in it.
Thanks,
Brendan
Its a nice feature in the OS version. This would be perfect for the iOS version. This would help with minimizing the number of false entries created. Its so easy to add an entry by mistake and then have a bunch of blank entries. This option would help prevent that. Thanks
Sorry – just realized that required fields in forms does not prevent adding empty entries. That would be nice if it would prevent an entry from being added if it didnt have anything in it. I suspect that can be done via a script but I dont know for sure.
