Requesting multiple file attachments per File Attachment field

I just used the File Attachment field for the first time and I was disappointed to find that the field accepts only one file attachment. I don’t want to have to add separate fields for records that need multiple attachments because many records will have none, and it seems like a waste of database real estate. Is it possible to make the File Attachment field work like the photo fields and accept multiple attachments?

Just select the multiple file select box in the field properties and your done. No need to be disappointed :-)
