Hi, Brendan,
The database of my collection of classical recordings is a document with two forms.
Each record in the first form, called “Composers”, contains two fields – a text field, called “Composer”, with the composer’s name, and a linked field, called “Died”, with the year of the composer’s death. I have attached a screen shot, called “Composer Record”, of one of the records in this form.
The second form, called “Recordings”, has one or more records for each CD in my collection. One of the fields in each record is a text field, called “Composer”, which contains the name of the composer of the music on that CD. Another field, called “Died”, is a linked field for the year of death of the composer of the music on that CD.
I set up a Join relationship, linking the “Died” fields on the two forms, so that any record added to the form would display the year of death of the composer listed on that record. The attached screen shot called “TF 5 Relationship”, shows the inspector panel for the “Died” field in Tap Forms 5. You can see that the date of Beethoven’s death is linked properly. The attached screen shot called “TF Pro Relationship”, shows the inspector panel for the “Died” field in Tap Forms Pro. You can see that the field is blank – the link is not working.
Is this a bug?
Thanks.

Hi Alan,
Can you send me a backup of your document so I can look into this?
I just re-created a small version of it and it seemed to work for me.
So I’d need to see directly what’s causing this not to work for you.
Thanks,
Brendan
